African Mission Evangelism - Ghana University

David and Barbara Kalb are our missionaries with AME.  David teaches at the University.  David has been active in helping to plant several new congregations throughout Ghana.  Barbara is an Instructor of 7th grade Bible at the American Int’l. School (A.I.S.) in Accra.  In addition to Bible, she tutors children with learning disabilities.

Ambassadors for Christ (AFC), Philippines

Rodger & Dixie Shewmaker have been with AFC since 1988.  AFC plants churches (especially in urban areas), educates and trains Christian leaders for those churches, oversee a medical/dental ministry and manage a children’s home (Palm Haven).

 

Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF) - Andy and Jen May, Thailand

Andy and Jen are both members of WHCC who moved to Thailand two years ago to serve in campus ministry at Thammassat University.  Andy and Jen believe the campus ministry model of outreach is critical within the culture and historical resistance of the Gospel.  They recently welcomed the birth of Jude Andrew. 

Central America/Caribbean

 

Lifeline Christian Mission, Haiti

Lifeline manages several Christian schools, a children’s home, medical/dental clinics, and feeding programs in Haiti.  They also build homes for needy families.  Each year, WHCC members and the local community send over a thousand jars of peanut butter and several thousand dehydrated meals to help ease the hunger in Haiti.

India

 

Passion Ministries, India

Rana and Simie Samuel are committed to introducing Jesus Christ to the people of India, and beyond.  Through everyday projects of compassion (serving, sharing, and meeting needs), Passion Ministries, Inc. will live out the love of Christ in a manner acceptable to the Indian culture.

Europe

 

Trains Christians for Ministry (TCM) Intl, Eastern and Central Europe

TCM prepares men and women for Christian leadership and provides benevolent assistance in Eastern Europe.  They also provide literature, food, clothing, and medicine for Christians in Eastern and Central Europe.

The Americas

 

Camp Christian, Mill Run PA

We provide camping facilities, that Jesus Christ may be more highly exalted through an intensified program of worship, education, recreation, and social activity in a spiritual atmosphere.  Special camping and recreation activities are available for all age groups throughout the year. 

 

Choices Pregnancy Care Center, Coraopolis, PA

Choices is a non-profit, Christ-centered ministry, initially founded in 1987 for the purpose of extending compassion, care and support to women facing unplanned pregnancies.  In the past year, Choices has had over 850 visits from women in our community who are seeking help and answers. 

 

Christian Evangelistic Society (CES), Pittsburgh PA

CES is a coalition of pastors and members from area Christian Churches and Churches of Christ who help start and support other churches in Western PA.  CES helped start WHCC.

 

Colegio Biblico (Bible College), Texas and Mexico

Colegio Biblico (Bible College) is preparing Christian workers for the Spanish-speaking world.  Since about 56 million Hispanics live in the U.S.; Spanish-speaking preachers, evangelists, and Sunday-school teachers are tremendously needed for outreach.

 

Foreign Student "Scholarships"

Each year, we sponsor four (4) foreign students who are attending Cincinnati Christian University, Colegio Biblico, Johnson Bible College, and Kentucky Christian University.  These men and women will be returning to their native countries upon graduation to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  This year we are financially and prayerfully supporting two students from Haiti, one from Japan and one from Mexico.

 

"His Place" Contact Center, Pittsburgh, PA

His Place is a ministry to children and adults on Pittsburgh’s North Side.  Their services include after school tutoring, reading time, bible study, music, parenting classes and much more.  HIS Place also has a homeless ministry.

 

Worldwide Hispanic Outreach (WWHO) Ministries, Saltillo, Mexico

Ernesto & Olga Fuentes started two bible schools, oversee six churches and mentor five more churches.  They operate a retreat center and mission house and are in the process of building a Christian service camp.  This ministry also holds medical and dental clinics in partnership with FAME.

Worldwide

 

International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES)

IDES works throughout the world to spread the Gospel, help people after natural disasters, feed the hungry, assist with well digging and building, and providing for the medical needs of missionaries.  IDES is working in Louisiana to re-build houses destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. 

 

Team Expansion

We partner with local churches to send and sustain teams of interdependent missionaries to plant indigenous churches among unreached people groups worldwide.  We have 230+ full-time workers serving on 57 different projects in 35 countries.
