You should have received a Bible Bowl software CD-ROM at the first practice.  If you were
not at the first practice, you will receive one on Sunday.

Installing the Bible Bowl Software

1. Put the CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer.  If you have Windows XP you'll probably get a popup
window asking what you want to do.  If this happens, just close out of that window (click [X]).

2. Go into "My Computer" and then open your CD-ROM drive.

3. You'll see a folder called "ACTS," go into that folder and you'll see three folders: "Beginner QPro,"
"Coach's Suite" and "Player's Suite."  If you are in Beginner Bible Bowl you'll want to install Beginner
QPro.  If you are in Bible Bowl you'll want to install the other two.

4. Go into the folder of the software you want to install.  Double-click the "Install" icon.  The computer
should walk you through the rest of the installation. 

Updating the Software

There are a few glitches in the programs that were discovered after the CDs were produced, so National
Bible Bowl has an online system that lets you download updated files to fix these problems.  A program called
"Update Manager" will automatically be installed with the other programs.  It also allows you to download
used questions and exams from National Bible Bowl

1. Close out of all Bible Bowl programs.  It's a good idea to close all other programs as well if you can.

2. Connect to the Internet.  If you have broadband you are always connected to the Internet.

3. Launch Update Manager.  An icon was placed on your desktop during installation.  If you deleted it, you
can get to the program using the start menu: Start>Programs (or "All Programs" if you have Windows XP)>
2005x Acts>Update Manager.

4. It will look for available updates and give you a list.  Click all the checkboxes and click download or OK.

5. The rest should be automated.  It will tell you when it's finished.

About the Software License (legal stuff)

This software carries a team license, and it may be reproduced within a single Bible Bowl team.  You may
share the software with anyone on our Bible Bowl team, but you may not share it with anyone not affiliated
with our Bible Bowl team.
